Fast-moving mega trends such as AI/digital adoption mean there is constant need for adaption. The pressure on leaders and their teams to adapt has never been greater.
In 2021, the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and EY formed a research collaboration to understand the conditions that increase the likelihood of a successful transformation 2.6-fold – from a 28% chance of success to a 73% chance.
The research over the past three years shows that the differentiating factor is people. Andrew will share key findings from the 2024 research paper.

How it works
Audience furrow their brows. Mark and Robert stand up. Someone from the audience calls out a random word (ideally, but not essentially, connected to the theme of the day). In the past they have had words as serious as ‘death’ and ‘consciousness’ and as silly as ‘smoothies’ and ‘crocodiles’. Mark and Robert each speak for a few minutes on the topic, drawing on the history of ideas. Then the next word is called out, and off they go again…
